Participate in an Event

Whether you are a golfer, a bowler, a chef or a runner, you can contribute to the fight against breast cancer 365 days a year. By participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® or another Komen event, you become part of a grassroots network that has changed the way the world talks about and treats breast cancer. You can make a difference as you celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle, and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against this life-threatening disease. There are many different ways to support Komen's mission.

We offer a variety of events, from bowling to cooking to golfing and driving, in an effort to raise money for and awareness of our battle against breast cancer. There are opportunities to join the fight where you live, work and play.

Milwaukee Wave LogoThe Milwaukee Wave of Hope Charity Game – Sunday, January 29th at 3pm

The Komen Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate is proud to join the Wave of Hope for the Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team’s 2011-12 M&I Bank Charitable Jersey Program.  The Wave partners with a different charity for each of its eleven home games. MKE Wave Komen Jersey Komen Southeast Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Wave are partnering on the Sunday, January 29, 2012 game at 3pm. The promotion will include an honorary “first kick” representative and announcements during the game.  The custom made Komen Southeast Wisconsin jerseys which will be worn during the game will be auctioned off at the game with proceeds benefiting Komen Southeast Wisconsin.

Tickets can be purchased online or on game day for $16 each. 
Please mention Susan G. Komen when purchasing your tickets to ensure we receive the $2 donation.


Sheridan Lanes Bowl for a Cure - Sunday, February 12th at 2pm

Sheridan Lanes BFAC LogoSheridan Lanes Bowl for a Cure is an annual fundraiser that brings together friends and family of the Kenosha bowling community to support breast cancer awareness and the effort to find a cure. This one-day event honors the lives of those who have been touched by cancer and celebrates the strength of our community as we unite for such an important cause. To date, they have raised over $115,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, but this is the first year they are donating to the Komen Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate.  Please visit the Bowl for a Cure page of the Sheridan Lanes website to register or get more information.

2012 Bucks Bowl for the Cure

The Milwaukee Bucks have teamed up with Komen Southeast Wisconsin again to give area bowlers an opportunity to play the game for a great cause.  The annual "Bowl for the Cure Day" presented by Columbia St. Mary's will take place on Friday, February 17, 2012 at AMF Bowlero at 11737 W Burleigh Street in Milwaukee.  Visit www.bucks.com/bowl for more info, or click here to download a PDF of the registration and pledge forms.Bucks Bango Bowl

- 2 Sessions to choose from. 3PM AFTERNOON SESSION NOW SOLD OUT!
- $30 entry fee includes  2 games of bowling, shoe rental, T-Shirt, gift bag, and two $37 game tickets for the Bucks-Wizards game on 2/28/12.

Bowlers are encouraged to collect at least $100 in donations. For collecting $100, you will be entered in a raffle to receive 4 Courtside Club tickets to a 2011-12 Bucks home game. (Game TBD) Plus, other great prizes!

Milwaukee Auto Show LogoGreater Milwaukee Auto Show Girls Night Out - Wednesday, February 29th at 5pm

A fashion show!  Dance Demonstrations!  A Zumba Fitness Party!  This is all part of the 2012 Greater Milwaukee Auto Show’s Girls Night Out event on February 29th.   Special Girls Night Out tickets are being sold for $15 each, which includes admission to the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show AND the Girls Night Out Lounge.  From each Girls Night Out ticket sold, $6 will be donated to the Komen Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate.  In addition, each ticket purchased for the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show sold on the day of 2/29 will include a $1 donation to Komen.

Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 215

The Milwaukee Professional Fire Fighters have kicked off their 2011 campaign!  This year's t-shirts are $15 for short sleeve and $20 for long sleeve, are navy blue in color and feature the Komen Running Ribbon on the back of the shirt, and the Komen Southeast Wisconsin logo on the sleeve.  Shirts can be purchased online at www.local215.com or at various firehouses.  Click here for the full story along with t-shirt images and locations of firehouses selling the shirts.

 Passionately Pink for the Cure
Passionately Pink for the Cure®

Passionately Pink for the Cure is a fundraising and awareness program. It’s a simple but effective way for groups around the country to show their support for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. 

In just three years, Passionately Pink has raised more than $11 million to fund breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment programs, with more than $2.5 million going to participating Affiliates. We hope to raise $4.5 million in 2009 and have increased the Affiliates’ share to 75 percent of funds raised! 

Anyone can participate in Passionately Pink for the Cure! Groups pick a day (or days), anytime throughout the year, to wear pink and make a donation to Komen for the Cure. Recruit companies, religious or social groups, schools, clubs, friends and family to go Passionately Pink for the Cure® and have them register at

Registered groups receive a participation kit that includes posters to promote their day, breast health information and Passionately Pink for the Cure pins for participants to wear to show their support for the cure.


Rally for the Cure®

Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program designed to spread awareness about breast health and breast cancer through volunteered organized golf, tennis and social events. In partnership with Condé Nast Publications, Rally empowers people to support the mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure by spreading awareness in their community through an activity they are passionate about. Volunteer Ambassadors host and plan the events locally.  For more information, please visit the
