How to Apply for Funding

Thank you for your interest in the Komen Affiliate grants program. 

The majority of the net proceeds raised by the Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® stay right here in our community. These funds are granted to local organizations that provide breast health education, screening and access to treatment programs for women in our community. To review a list of our current grantees, click here. The remaining 25% of the net proceeds support the Komen National Research and Scientific Grants Program.

We are looking to fund innovative and creative programs designed to move beyond awareness and education to change behavior with an increase in the mammography rate for all women 40 and over*. We value our current partners and seek new partnerships with first-time applicants from any of our seven counties. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review the 2011 Komen Community Profile at http://www.komensoutheastwi.org/understanding-breast-cancer/local-resources/our-community-need.html to learn more about the breast health challenges facing women in southeast Wisconsin. Funds will be awarded to applicants who address the following three funding priorities, which were developed based on the needs identified in the Community Profile.

Grants are available for up to one (1) year.

** All proposals must be submitted online through the Grants e-Management System, applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the software training workshop on October 16^th to learn the system.
