A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
Teams are the backbone of the Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure®. Over the past eleven years, team captains have been incredible leaders in building Race participation and were instrumental in helping us achieve our 2009 goal of 13,000 participants and raising over $1 million! Starting a team is easy and fun. For more information on Starting a Company Team, Joining a Community Team or General Team questions, email us at Komense.teams@yahoo.com.
A team is any group of 10 people or more who want to participate in the Race as a group. This group may consist of friends, family, coworkers, church and civic groups, schools, children, or any combination thereof. Team members do not have to participate in the same event. A team can have participants in the same eventn or a combination of events (5K run or walk, Komen mile, etc.).
There is no limit to the number of members you can have on your team. However, your team must have a minimum of 10 team members by the team registration deadline: September 3, 2010. If your team does not meet the minimum number of participants needed for a team, the team captain will be notified and all team member registrations will be changed to individual participant status, dissolving the team.
